Well, our little flyers performed beautifully on Saturday at a wedding in London, Ontario!
After a week of training to make sure that the released doves would return "home" safely, the little white doves behaved well and flew magnificently!
Four white wedding doves were displayed in their Victorian cages during the garden wedding ceremony, and two birds were released from a decorated basket afterwards.
During the next few weeks, these birds will be trained to return from other areas of south London, including the St. Leopold Mandic Parish Church on Westminster Drive, the Islamic Centre of Southwest Ontario on Pond Mills Road and the Hindu Mandir, 1031 Hubrey Road, London.
The doves can also be released at the Best Western Plus Stoneridge Inn & Conference Centre on Burtwistle Lane at highway 401 and highway 4, in London.
